FAQs

  • Because our treats contain no preservatives, fillers, or additives, they’re best enjoyed fresh. Once opened, store them in the original sealed bag or an air tight container in a cool, dry place and use within 2–4 weeks. For longer storage, pop them in an air tight container then into the freezer - they’ll stay fresh for up to 6–12 months this way.

  • Because our bags are compostable (yay for the planet 🌏), they aren’t built for frosty conditions. In the freezer, a little moisture can sneak in and make treats lose their crunch or freshness. We recommend popping them into an airtight container or freezer-safe bag instead - that way, they’ll stay delicious for months.

    • Moisture sensitivity: Compostable materials are designed to break down when exposed to moisture, heat, and oxygen. Freezers create condensation as things are cooled and warmed, which can weaken the bag and let air or frost in.

    • Brittleness: At freezing temperatures, many compostable materials become stiff and crack or tear more easily, so they don’t protect food as well over time.

    • Breakdown intent: Compostable bags are engineered to biodegrade, not to provide long-term, airtight storage. Freezing conditions just accelerate their weakness rather than preserve strength.

  • Never.
Our treats are 100% pure meat - nothing else. No preservatives, no grains, no fillers. Just the good stuff, naturally dehydrated to lock in flavour and nutrition.

  • Yes, but with a little care. Puppies can enjoy dehydrated treats once they’re weaned and eating solid food, but always start small and supervise them while chewing. Choose smaller pieces that are easy to digest, and keep treats to less than 10% of their daily diet.

  • Absolutely!

Our dehydrated treats are gentle on tummies, making them easy to digest. They’re packed with lean protein and natural nutrients that support healthy joints, skin, and energy levels. For seniors with dental concerns, we recommend softer options over crunchy chews like feet or necks.

  • Great question!

Brush-tail possums (Trichosurus vulpecula) are native marsupials whose population has markedly increased in Tasmania due to land development and the planting of crops and pasture.

Currently, the population of Brush-tail possums is at a high level. In some areas Brush-tail possums damage crops. Commercial harvesting is seen as one management tool.

By sourcing possum this way, we’re not only providing a unique hypoallergenic protein for dogs, but also supporting sustainable wildlife management that would otherwise go to the landfill.
